I made this project in an attempt to learn Unreal Engine. The worlds of Elden Ring / Dark Souls always fascinates me with its imposing structures, and the Grand Lift of Dectus was one of them. I imagined this area somewhere in the Cerulean Coast that could, perhaps takes you to another undiscovered area.
I modeled the whole structures in 3ds Max and imported to UE5. Additionally I used a lot of free to use assets from Quixel and sketchfab.
I've been working on and off this for the past 2 months, after referring from various youtube tutorials and troubleshooting any crashes and stuff all by myself.
Original concept and inspiration from Elden Ring / FromSoftware. Background score used in the YT video is captured from in-game area Gravesite Plains, originally composed by Yuka Kitamura.
